Are you looking to build a positive team atmosphere in your organisation?
Is it hard to find hassle-free ways to add value to your employees for a reasonable price?
Do you want to strengthen staff loyalty by showing them they are valued employees?

What if we could help you put your finger directly on the number one cause of personal stress for your team members?
Do you know what that cause is? Research tells us that the number one reason for stress in a household is money worries. Employers know that stress at home is often brought to work. This makes for a distracted employee, who is not a productive employee.
But do you want to have to dedicate significant time organising something, spend a lot of money to make it happen and incur a large chunk of downtime to achieve all this? Not likely!
Introducing wi$emoney's Personal Financial Success Programme
Designed specifically for employers who want to invest in the financial success of their staff, this programme is built around 3 key points:
Minimal disruption to work time. The workshop is just 1 hour long. Some large companies choose to have two or three workshops, rotating the staff attendance so that company still functions while the workshop is on.
Not a one-off hit. A single workshop may challenge your staff and fill them with good intentions, but it rarely has lasting impact. We instead focus on a process - guiding them (with emails, letters and resources) over 6 weeks to implement the changes they felt inspired to make. (Yet the only interruption to work time is the 1 hour workshop.)
Minimal organisation required for yourself as the employer. We know staff development is important for you, but it is not your core business. You need programmes that provide excellent value to your staff without taking a huge effort to organise. The wi$emoney team is focused on making this happen.
"Everything made so much sense!"
"Everything made so much sense!! It was a fresh way of looking at how to manage money. The principles could be applied to anyone, no matter what their money worries or goals. I'd recommend it to anyone."
Mel Huitson-O'Neill Telecom workshop attendee
Your staff will benefit from this!
"About two thirds of those in serious debt are wage and salary earners" stated a recent report by the Ministry of Social Development.
The Reserve Bank governor Alan Bollard last year warned of financial crisis for highly indebted households and has recently pointed to household spending funded by debt as the main reason for inflation being so high. Last year Kiwi's spent 116% of their income!
The New Zealand Institute reports we have a high proportion (16%) of people with negative wealth (owing more than they own).
"Now I have found the answer!"
"Thank You! I've never been broke, but I've had years of writing budgets I've never stuck to and found that my salary simply 'disappeared' without much to show for it. Now I have found the answer!"
Brenda Linnegar Real Estate Agent
And if you're thinking that your high-earners won't benefit from this, think again!
"I brought my management team to the seminar"
"I brought my management team to the 3 1/2 hour seminar. It was excellent. We all got a kick in the pants with ways we could achieve more with our income. Thanks again."
Terry Humphries CEO Electrical Supply Corp
(Note: The 3 1/2 seminar mentioned here is our full length public seminar.)
In our seminars we regularly meet people who are earning large incomes. Some are doing OK, but could be achieving much more; others are spending more than they earn!
One couple who were earning $150K, and had free rent, power and phone with the job, had clocked up $26,000 of short-term debt in the previous couple of years. "We earn plenty of money but don't have any!" they said to us. "We want to have kids sometime, but that means going down to one income and we can't afford that!"
The best thing you can do to show value in your staff is to help them have success in their personal finances.
"We saw enormous value provided to our consultants within our national franchise network."
"During the time that we sponsored wi$emoney we saw enormous value being provided through their seminars; to our existing customers, our potential customers, and also consultants within our national franchise network. I personally attended their seminar and found it to be of huge benefit both personally and professionally."
Vanessa Young Marketing Manager, New Zealand Home Loans
You will reap the benefits
Positive work atmosphere A positive atmosphere at work is known to increase a company's productivity, decrease sick leave, and decrease staff turnover - all of which boost the bottom line.
Lower staff personal stress Help them where they may be hurting the most.
Start the year off on a strong note Fix those "back to work blues" and build positive momentum quickly.
Hassle-free way to add value to your employees at a reasonable price Our system is designed to make it as easy as possible for you to implement this programme.
Look good in front of your staff When you pay for their development they appreciate it.
Be seen as a caring employer By providing support in a non-work related issue, you'll demonstrate that you genuinely care.
Increased staff loyalty Loyalty goes both ways. By investing and showing value in your staff they will naturally reciprocate that back by having a stronger sense of loyalty to the company that values them.
What if my staff aren't very academic?
"It was communicated in an easy-to-understand way and they all enjoyed the presenter"
"I had a chance to get around and talk to everyone who came and the feedback is all positive! I had quite a few who really said that it was a big revelation and also a number who are serious about learning more.
Everybody I spoke to was extremely positive about the fact that everything was spoken in a simple, easy-to-understand way and they all enjoyed the presenter (well done Phil). Everybody was glad that they came!"
Jules Green General Manager - Industrial Tube Manufacturing
The wi$emoney presenters are experienced at speaking to audiences with a wide diversity of financial positions and academic performance. In our full length seminar we often have millionaires and minimum wage people sitting in the same room, and both getting a lot out of it. We have presented these corporate workshops to companies such as Telecom, for their sales staff, and Industrial Tube Manufacturing, with their office staff and factory workers combined in the same audience.
Being in control of your finances and achieving more with your income doesn't require amazing technical knowledge and understanding. Factory workers and Doctorate graduates both find great benefit in applying the powerful financial principles we teach.
"We had a good budget but we just weren't getting anywhere."
"Our finances were pretty good. We'd put money aside in savings, but it would get spent on all sorts of things. We had a really good budget and we tended to stick to the budget, but we just weren't getting anywhere.
After the seminar we set a number of goals and we've managed to achieve a lot more than we could before. We've completely paid off our oven and we've saved for a trip to Australia. We even got above what we'd planned we needed to go there!
It's definitely worth coming to a seminar!"

So what's in the Personal Financial Success Programme?
Here's an outline of wi$emoney's Personal Financial Success Programme:
Pre-workshop online questionnaire. This 20 question quiz gives participants their Financial Health rating and serves as a introduction to the principles discussed in the workshop. For employees who do not have access to email (at home or work) a printed version will be provided.
1 hour workshop, with powerful take-home exercises. This is the 'high-impact' part of the programme. Quick, punchy and designed to inspire participants to achieve more, they will walk away with motivation as well as practical exercises to apply to their own finances.
6 weeks of follow up coaching via email. After getting inspired at an event it is so easy to slip back into the old way of doing things, and not apply what you learned. But we don't want this to happen to your staff! That is why we have follow up coaching, encouraging them to put the different points into practice. It's this follow up that really helps to make a difference in their finances. For employees who do not have access to email (at home or work) they will receive letters as a condensed version of the follow up coaching.
35 min Audio CD. A few weeks after the workshop, as part of the follow up coaching, each participant will receive a 35min Audio Teaching CD, expanding the learning and reinforcing the most important points from the workshop.
This covers the entire programme - pre-workshop questionnaire, 1-hour workshop with handouts, 6 weeks of follow up coaching and a 35 min audio CD.
If you are interested in running the Personal Financial Success Programme in your company we will discuss with you whether you will cover the full cost of this programme, or instead, if you would prefer to have the employees pay part of the fee themselves.
And who is wi$emoney?
The wi$emoney foundation is a not for profit organisation and is a registered charitable trust with the Inland Revenue Department. We exist for the sole reason of helping people improve their financial situation.
In 2005 we expanded our seminars nationally. Our recent series of seminars in six cities around New Zealand had attendance of nearly 1000 people.
